ICIPT is a nonprofit group that is affiliated with the National Federation of Music Clubs, a National organization that is dedicated to promoting American music through its support of members of all ages.

The Federation is a national network for the promotion of music. As a philanthropic non-profit organization, the Federation offers monetary awards to members of all ages.
IFMC provides musical opportunites for all ages through festival programs, competitive events, awards, and community outreach.
NFMC Festival
The NFMC festival is held at the beginning of March and gives students an opportunity to perform for a judge and receive constructive comments on their performance.

Students can earn trophies as they participate through the years. Performances consist of a piece of the student's choosing, as well as a piece selected from NFMC's bulletin, a publication highlighting the best of contemporary American piano music.
